On Saturday 5th July Phil and Michelle are leading a tour of the wildflower hay meadows at Dyfed Permaculture Farm.
They will show you the diversity of flora (including several species of orchid) and talk about meadow management, managing land with a scythe, hand hay making and how the meadows link into the Permaculture systems of the rest of the farm.
This is a great chance to ask all your burning questions and see the home of Scythe Cymru. Tea and home made cakes included!

- Fresh scythed grass, spread to dry
- Grass scythed yesterday, being managed in frequently turned little row.
- The driest hay in larger rows, scythed earlier in the week and awaiting spreading.
- Haycocks made earlier in the week, will be spread for final drying and brought in tomorrow
- Hayracks made last week, will be spread for a last day of drying in the coming week and brought in
- Green regrowth on area cut in July and August
- Vegetation awaiting cutting
