Not all scythes are out mowing meadows.
Not by a long way! There are probably more people who use a scythe as a replacement for a strimmer.
Scythes are used to cut coarse grasses, docks, bracken, reed, grains, soft rush, brambles and more
I have been using a Falci 187 a fair bit this summer. Here I am trimming a hedge bank. And here, mowing bracken.
I like it’s versatility. It’s up for a bit of rougher work, if used with awareness, but is also able to cut grass and softer weeds.

The Falci Bear, on the other hand, is a specialist. It can handle much heavier vegetation (bramble, young saplings) then the 187 but there’s no way it’s mowing your lawn! It’s a heavy blade, which some people like when mowing tough plants like bracken as it can smooth out the “snick-snick-snick” you feel as you cut through each stalk.
