Part-time scythe packing for Scythe Cymru (paid work), alongside part-time volunteering for Dyfed Permaculture Farm CIO.
We are offering:
- seasonal part-time paid work in our scythe business (0.5 to 2+ days a week, contact us for details).
- simple accommodation, some food and lots of knowledge sharing in exchange for your volunteering time (around 2 days a week, negotiable).
- plenty of free time to get to know our beautiful locality.
This opportunity would suit a couple or single person who:
- are interested in learning about scything, hand farming and low impact living
- want to get to know our corner of West Wales better
- are available to live and work with us at Dyfed Permaculture Farm for all or a good part of spring and summer 2024 (April / May – September).
Dyfed Permaculture Farm is a 30 acre holding in West Wales.
Most of the management is carried out by hand. By living and working with us you can learn about scything, gardening, permaculture, hand haymaking, hand farming, animal care, low impact living and off grid electricity production.
The exact terms of this opportunity are negotiable.
There could be a couple who stay for the whole season, or single people starting at different times and overlapping in the busiest time in the middle, or other possibilities that suit us and the folk who want to come!
